Ray Barnard is the newest Personal Trainer to join the crew at Windy Hill. Ray loves to design programs that are specific to the needs of his clients, no matter their age, ability or focus.
"I work with a number of clients who are into their seventies and who have had joint replacement or other surgeries and my youngest client is just sixteen years old."
"I currently have a lot of clients I am working with to achieve a healthy weight.
This is a big part of what I do. I guess half the people who come into the gym or start an exercise program want to control their weight or get to a healthy weight. I work with these clients to see that the exercise component of their program is optimal and sustainable.
Getting to a healthy weight doesn't have to been a gruelling task. With the right exercise program it can be a really enjoyable experience.
And as you get fitter it opens the door to a whole list of recreation options such as hiking, biking, kayaking, fun runs or obstacle course racing."
Ray is currently helping his clients to:
- Train for obstacle course racing
- Train to improve strength and aerobic capacity for AFL football
- Prepare for sprint, middle and long distance running
- Prepare to climb Mt Kilimanjaro
- Improve their strength and flexibility to play golf and tennis competitively.
Ray also works with clients with special needs and tailors training to meet their specific needs.
Whether you are recovering from injury, surgery, are pregnant or have recently given birth, Ray can assist in building a program that works best for you.
