STUDENT SPOTLIGHT: MEET NAM! cover

In recognition of World Drowning Prevention Day on Thursday 25th July, we’re proud to highlight one of our dedicated swimmers here at Windy Hill Fitness Centre. Introducing Nam, a strong and motivated swimmer who embodies the importance of staying confident and capable in the water!

Nam began swimming with BlueFit back in 2020 and has since progressed through our Learn to Swim levels into our SwimFit program. This program is all about helping students continue their swimming journey beyond traditional lessons focusing on technique, endurance and enjoyment without the pressure of competition.

We asked Nam a few questions about his swim experience:

1. What's your favourite part about swimming?
"It's a great way to keep up my physical fitness and helps me destress from school!"

2. What's your favourite swimming stroke?
"Freestyle! It's simple, easy and also my fastest stroke!"

3. Who's your favourite instructor?
"Josh obviously! He helps me with really small details in my technique and always makes me laugh as well!"

Nam’s story is a reminder of how swimming can support both physical and mental wellbeing and how vital it is to stay safe and skilled in the water at any age.
