This season we were fortunate enough to host a number of AFLW matches, following an announcement earlier in the year that the Windy Hill Oval would be the Essendon home ground for the 2023 AFLW season.
For many locals (including our very own team) and a vast number of visiting players and footy fans it has been wonderful to see hard fought, elite level football on the ground at Windy Hill for the first time in over 32 years.
The BlueFit team is grateful for the opportunity to open our doors to such an array of talent. We appreciate our members’ patience with the required changes to operations on game days to make this possible. It really has been a team effort to get this off the ground here at Windy, and for that we thank you.
A huge congratulations to the AFLW Essendon team for making the finals, a fantastic effort by all! We cannot wait to see what you achieve next season.
