Meet the Instructor: Tony Eid

Tony has been a group fitness instructor for over 30 years and he still loves every minute of it. His passion is indoor cycling, where he combines great music with choreographed rides that push, energise and connect with people. There’s nothing better for Tony than seeing a class totally in the zone, riding to the beat and feeling strong.

Outside of the studio, he's a Medical Radiographer and runs his own DEXA clinic specialising in bone density and body composition scans. It's all about helping people understand their bodies better, whether it’s through movement or through measurable health insights.

He also loves inspiring and motivating people to take on fitness goals that might not sound big, but feel incredible, like finishing a tower climb competition of over 50 floors (and climbing it multiple times!) or completing a hike they never thought possible.

What they enjoy most about teaching Spin
“What I enjoy most about teaching spin is the energy shift that happens. Sometimes you struggle to drag yourself to class—but by the end, you’re absolutely glad you showed up instead of making an excuse to miss it. The music, the movement, the vibe in the room—it all lifts you. Seeing people singing along and fully in the moment reminds me why I love doing this.”

What they like about your facility
“What I like most about the facility at Windy Hill is that it caters to a wide range of people, no matter their fitness level. It’s welcoming, inclusive, and truly community-based. There’s a real sense of connection—people support each other, and it feels like everyone belongs.”

Their intention for participants in class
“I use a timer to help everyone get the most out of each track. The class is also designed to improve their cardiorespiratory fitness in a structured but fun way. And I always bring a bit of humour—some say it’s part spin class, part stand-up comedy!”

What makes the class special with their personal touch
“What makes my class special is the personal touch. I really listen to people’s feedback and shape the experience around what they enjoy. The music is always a hit – people genuinely love the playlists.”
