It was announced last month that the Windy Hill Oval would be the home ground for the AFLW Essendon Bombers. Bringing an elite level of football back to Windy Hill for the first time in over 32 years!
Due to the upcoming home games for the AFLW Essendon team we have a few access changes and disruptions to our facilities. The Windy Hill precinct is in the early stages of a future development which has left some of the facilities unusable.
To allow the AFLW away teams to access functioning changerooms from the Fitness Centre, there will be restricted access to the health club facilities.
As a result of this restricted access there will be no access to the FX30 fitness room, and there will be limited access to machines on the turfed area. Whilst there will be no access to gym changerooms, the aquatic changerooms will remain open.
During this time our team will be directing all health club visitors to access the gym via the door in the aquatics facility. To assist you during this time there will also be plenty of signage displayed at the facility during the affected days and times.
- Sunday 24th September at 12:00pm to 6:00pm
Parking will also be limited during these matches as large crowds will be anticipated to attend the games.
